Drishyam 2 had an excellent day as collections went up 40% and that was coming from a very good opening day itself. The film has got the sort of jump on Saturday that has even been a struggle for the smaller films which dont open. The growth on Saturday has been very difficult post the pandemic and its nowhere close to what was happening before but for Drishyam 2 its a totally different story.

The second day collections are 21 crore nett which is an excellent number and this ensures a sure shot HIT though it will be Monday which confirms this. The two day collections are 36 crore nett and a 60 crore nett weekend is there for the film. After this huge growth on Saturday it is just about whether it really breaks out into the B and C centres or has that normal Sunday growth. The film is doing well enough in these centres but Sunday always gives a chance of really breaking out and that is when Sunday also gets huge growth. It may not be that type of film for these centres but it has broken many rules so far so another one will not surprise.

The growth was excellent all over on day two with East Punjab leading the way with a 50% jump. Gujarat / Saurashtra which opened so well also jumped in the same range and on Saturday the circuit was closeto the 3 crore nett mark. The circuits like Rajasthan, CP Berar and CI which dont jump on Saturday were also up 30-35%. The South where Ajay Devgn films are less is alos very good and it would be no surprise if a circuit like Mysore gets the highest total ever for and Ajay Devgn film. The two day numbers of Drishyam 2 are as follows.
