Bhediya (Hindi) collected around 6.75 crore nett on day one and had better collections in the evening as the morning collections were suggesting even 6 crore nett may well be a task for the film. Still it is a low opening number and it is depending on the Saturday growth and that has to be big.

The film managed was generally low all over but managed some decent collections in UP and the Delhi / UP number should cross 1.50 crore nett but it should have been more if Delhi NCR performed how it should have as this film should have done better there.

Mumbai circuit will be around 2 crore nett but this has been affected by Drishyam 2 which is very strong in Maharashtra and Gujarat and the Drishyam 2 affect is probably there in the central belt also. The industry had seen a decent Friday followed by a good Friday over the last two weeks and if Bhediya had continued this momentum it would have been great for the industry but it was not to be and it becomes about the growth.

The growth has not been coming until the last two weeks also where things looked a bit more like normal so the hope here is if not opening then it can get the growth. the opening is around 20% lower than the last film of Varun Dhawan Jugjugg Jeeyo which was a success. The issue with Bhediya is collections in markets like CI and Rajasthan are the same as Jugjugg Jeeyo when they should be doing much better at least in these places.

The film was also released in a Telugu and Tamil version.
