Bhediya had the 14th highest opening day of the year when it actually had to get into the top ten which would have been a decent response. Last week the case was Drishyam 2 would have been decent if it got into the top ten but it actually made it to second spot which was a great response.

Brahmastra is way out in front with over 30 crore nett while all the others are under 15 crore nett. The likes of Ram Setu (holiday), Bachchhan Pandey (holiday), Laal Singh Chaddha (holiday), Samraat Prithviraj, Vikram Vedha and Shamshera should have all been crossing the 15 crore nett mark at least but post the pandemic it has become harder to take an opening if the trailer does not hit the mark even with big stars. This was not the case before as an opening day would come even if the trailer was not good and the film would go down thereafter. 

There is one more Hindi film with the potential to open this year and that is Circus. The film will be in the normal Rohit Shetty zone which means the masses should come for the film. The target here is not to become the second film this year to get over 15 crore nett but to get much higher. The top fifteen opening days of 2022 for original Hindi content are as follows.
