Bhediya (Hindi) showed a fair jump on Saturday as it collected 9.25 crore nett taking its total to 16 crore nett for the first two days. It would have been good if the film jumped more than 50% and went into double digits but these still are healthy gains.

The film is struggling in pockets like CPCI, Maharashtra and Gujarat where the film did not open well and Saturday has also not jumped that much but the metros and mini metros have seen good growth of 40-50%. The Saturday business keeps the film in the race making Sunday very crucial for the film as it has to show good growth again for a chance  to sustain om Monday.

A good Sunday jump will only come if mass pockets do well and these are a must if the film is to do well in the long run as its a big film and cant really sustain on a few big centres. The growth on Saturday may not be as much Bhediya needed but it paints a good picture for the film industry as the Saturday push in numbers is getting better now. 

The industry has to make Friday films but if the senseblities and capabilities are not there then this improvement in Saturday growth will be a life saver and hopefully there is further improvement in teh next six months so we go back to where we were in March 2020. The two day business of Bhediya is as follows.

Friday - 6,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 9,25,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 16,00,00,000 apprx
