Drishyam 2 will continue to dominate the box office this week as the new release An Action Hero will hardly prove any competition. The film saw off Bhediya last week and this week it is a much easier task with An Action Hero.

The real task for Drishyam 2 going forward is how it compares with the likes of KGF 2 (Hindi) and RRR (Hindi) over the next couple of weeks. The film is likely to be better than the original Hindi content so now the competition is these two big films from the South which are the biggest Hindi grossers this year.

The KGF 2 (Hindi) numbers are probably too high but if the film can compete with RRR (Hindi) over the next two weeks it will be heading towards that 225 crore nett mark. Even with Avatar 2 the film could still collect well in Mumbai / Gujarat as that film will have a different audience profile though there is unlikely to be much coming after Cirkus.

Drsihyam 2 is on the verge of emerging a BLOCKBUSTER and if Cirkus can also put theta 200 crore nett plus number up it would be good end to the year and the industry will go into 2021 in a much better position than it was in only a few months back in August.
