Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar did well on Saturday as business went back to its first day level due to good collections in the big centres. It was a must for the film to go back to day one levels. The growth was strong all over with metros growing 70-80% while other areas went up around 50% up. The growth was also solid in circuits like CP Berar and CI also as the bigger cities in these circuits did well on Saturday.

The collections on Saturday were 13.75 crore nett and this takes the total of the film to over 45 crore nett in four days with Sunday to come. The issue facing the film will be appreciation as the jumps in many centres have come from low numbers so the relative number on Saturday at many places looks low. A Gujarat / Saurashtra is a little over 1 crore on Saturday and more importantly a gentry centre like Chandigarh is only 20 lakhs apprx on Saturday. It can be said that that Saturday is the fourth day so a certain amount of business has been consumed but then business being consumed already is a worry for the future. 

The growth on Sunday is mainly from mass centres and here they may not grow as they should so it again puts pressure on the bigger centres to perform if the film is to come out with a solid Sunday. The film has a huge budget which is by far the highest ever for a film of this genre of over 200 crore and the business is not in sync with that but that was known beforehand it was always going to struggle in that way due to the changes in cinema post pandemic. 

The idea was to do some good or even decent level business theatrically which gives the industry some confidence to keep this genre alive today with cast films and the film has managed to do what it should have on Saturday but the acid test will come on Monday. The collections of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar over the first four days are as follows.
