John Wick 4 will give the box office some respite this week as the film clocks up some good advances for the weekend. The film is not much of a franchise in India and it was looking like a pretty dull weekend before biggie Bholaa comes out next week. Now with John Wick 4 there will be solid footfalls and its looking like a bonus for exhibitors.

The film will open on Thursday on paid previews after 6pm and that itself should have good numbers as advances are already heading north of 50 lakhs nett. The film has hardly any franchise value as the John Wick 3 in 2019 grossed around 11 crore nett. The whole franchise which consists of 3 films stands at less than 15 crore nett

There is a caveat for Hollywood films as many times the advances are far stronger than what happens in current which is the opposite for Hindi films but here even if current is weaker it will still be good to decent numbers at the box office and far far above the level expected for this franchise.

It an empty week as far as Hindi films goes with Bheed being the only release but this film has no chance to stand up to John Wick 4 and maybe even a holdover like Mrs Chaterjeen Vs Norway will fight it as both films have the same target audience.
