Zara Hatke Zara Bachke did well on day one as it collected around 5.25-5.50 crore nett with good collections in some Hindi pockets like UP, MP and Rajasthan. There is an offer aligned with the film and if this was not there then these collections can actually be called good (very good considering the box office scenario today) but at the moment its not exactly known how much push has come from the offer. 

The plus for the film is some good collections in the Hindi belts which is a different to many films released post the pandemic. The offer is all over so the outperformance in certain pockets is not due to the offer. The music which has a HIT song has probably meant a larger crowd coming out in the likes of MP, UP, etc. The collections in these places are up there with films like Cirkus and Bhediya and some stations seem to have recorded better collections. Delhi / UP and CI will come with the best collections while Mumbai could have done better but that is the case with most films today.

The weekend will do well as the offer will remain so the collections should hold up although the normal growth trajectory cannot be expected it should still see good growth over the weekend and then the crucial Monday. The weekend numbers will give the film a chance of doing well and in the present scenario this is more than good enough as the film could have easily died with a 10 crore nett weekend or less as we have seen time and time again.

Irrespective of how the number has come the fact is that the headline number of 5 crore nett plus is good and this will mean others looking at doing offers or discounted rates which is not the way box office should work and not good in the long run. At the moment it is not known how much the film has been boosted but the results will mean many others looking at bringing in the audiences with incentives. it looked this would stop when it was tried earlier in the year but the results of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke will change that
