The Gadar 2 juggernaut continues unabated as tickets sell fast across the country and the film is looking to record one of the biggest advances ever and compete with the biggest films ever made on the strength of the iconic status brand value of Gadar Ek Prem Katha (2001).

The national chains advance is competing with a film like Brahmastra at the moment with four days to go while outisde this in non national chains its havoc and its competing with Pathaan and if we go to single screens which many dont even have an advance culture then its pure mayhem as enquiries come like never before and the exhibitors sell the tickets. Its basically back to 2001 for single screens in the Hindi belt and those HF boards are going to go up across the country on Friday.

These advances are coming on limited shows as due to Oh My God 2 and holdover Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani the programming will be competitive due to the competition and distributors of those films will fight for shows. But the fact is that neither Oh My God or Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani can really stand up to Gadar 2. Oh My God 2 has decent advances and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani has held well enough but Gadar 2 is a different animal all together.

Gadar 2 is going to record insane occupancy in terms of business today and maybe Sunny Deol has to go with the hammer to the programmers who think other films can actually give better occupancy. The craze is multiplying day by day.  Once these programming issues get sorted then the Gadar 2 advance can fly further and and an idea of where the advance can be gauged.
