Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues collected a huge 282 crore nett in week one which is the second highest first week number after Pathaan which released earlier this year. The film saw its first noticeable drop on the last day of the first week but the holiday period was over and the film came down to more normal levels. Despite doing huge business over the week the Thursday number was still more than 50% of the first day..

There drop was bigger in Mumbai circuit as the film has racked up huge numbers in the circuit Mon - Wed with the holiday period continuing till Wednesday. The numbers were still at very high levels in the Hindi circuits as both CI and Bihar were a 1 crore nett plus which has never happened before that both these circuits hit 1 crore nett on the last day of the first week. 

The film is likely to have set new first week highs in some circuits especially the Hindi circuits. Here many of the records stand with K3G 2 and Bahubali 2 despite Pathaan having the all India first week record and hopefully Gadar 2 has knocked the South films of top spot for the first week.
