Animal has scored another big day with collections of around 60 crore nett on Sunday which gives it a weekend of 168 crore nett which is the second highest of all time after Jawan. The overall growth is not huge as multiplexes really dont have the capacity to grow much. There was spare capacity in the morning shows but the film could not really go higher in the afternoon and evening shows and then metros have that night show lag.

Despite the overall number being under 10% up there was solid growth in the mass circuits as they jumped 20-25%. The spare capacity issue due to the length and clash with Sam Bahadur will all go well for Monday and the film is sure to show a good hold and it could even cross the 30 crore nett. The film does have a heavy dose of sex and violence but the conservative areas are not really reflecting this in collections which means the film is looking at a very strong hold. The Monday number should ensure BLOCKBUSTER status for the film.

The response is phenomenal overseas as well with North America to cross $5.5 million in Hindi alone which is third highest weekend ever after Jawan and Pathaan. The total overseas numbers will also be the third highest ever. It will be the highest Ranbir Kapoor grosser overseas in a matter of 4 or 5 days.

Sam Bahadar managed a good double digit number of 10 crore nett giving it a healthy weekend of 25 crore nett and the film is depending on what happens on Monday. The should be a hold but the film needs to near the Monday figure and that may be the tough part as weekdays have a more limited crowd and it will be inclined more towards Animal.
