Bade Miyan Chote Miyan will now hit cinemas on the national holiday which is best for the film although the decison should have come much earleir which would have saved a lot of hassle with the bookings. 

The date does not mean anything changes as per the film as its the same film but what it does is it opens the film upto a much larger audience on the national holiday without the filter of the paid previews verdict.

When the interest in the film pre release is not where it should be then you cannot release on a Wednesday when there is a national holiday the next day especially for a film which is atempting to reach a wider audience. If it was a Friday then its fine as that is the normal release day but Wednesday is not. Maidaan is still coming on Wednesday evening but that has a different target audience though it would also be better coming on the Thursday.  

The last two days has seen expectations crash on Bade Miyan Chote Miyan due to the indecision and advances with some insanely low numbers going around but its a huge holiday so if the film has some merits it does not take much to change the gloomy scenario. Its another thing that a film like this should not be depending on the holiday. The overseas release is generally on Wednesday.
