The advances of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and Maidaan have been open for a few days now and its been restart after restart and the response is very limited for both films. Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is better but in the context of things that does not really matter much.

At present the tracking at national chains is looking 35k for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and 15k for Maidaan for the first day and because of this there are very low numbers going around in the industry as to how the films will open on day one but at some point there will be the holiday factor in play.

Now whether the holiday factor comes into play in the advances or on day one it remains to be seen. Its a huge holiday so you would expect the advances to run faster post 4 Pm which would allow higher numbers than what they are looking at present.  

Maidaan has paid previews so some of the opening day audiience will be factored into these paid previews. Here the advances do look better for the paid previews considering tickets sold against the shows out there.

The wait is for that holiday push to see when it comes and how much it is as both films are heavily relying on this to get the audience in and then public reports to play their part. Hopefully by the end of the day the advances will be standing on a better footing. Of course they will not be good or even decent but some momentum is needed for these two huge Eid releases.
