Munjya did well in its first weekend as it collected almost 20 crore nett but more than the collections it had a superb weekend trend. The growth on Saturday was fantastic coming off discounted rates on Friday and although Sunday does not look huge this came with the big cricket match so without that it could have been a 5-10% higher collection on Sunday 

The film is excellent in Maharashtra which will mean very good numbers in Mumbai and CP Berar circuits and if teh film really sustains for the next few weeks then CP Berar could be challenging some of the bigger films released this year. The film has also done very well in Gujarat (with a a blockbuster Gujrati film Jhamkudi for competition), Rajasthan, CI and East. The collections are lesser in North and South.

The Monday collections of the film should certify an out outright HIT film which be the third of the year after Shaitaan and Artcle 370. It has a chance to go on from here to a big number with the only doubt being the genre is a bit front loaded and on top this film has punched way higher than it should on this cast in the Hindi circuits. The next four days and how well it competes with the competition on Friday will probably determine where the film goes. The weekend collections for Munjya till date are as follows.
