Pushpa 2 has obliterated the box office on Sunday as it its collections are set to be around 75 crore nett which will be the first time a film has hit this mark and no film has even hit the 70 crore nett. The numbers could have even been higher but many places just could not go higher. The main ground it made on Saturday was the earlier shows but it takes some film to collect high occupancy before noon on the Sunday. The single screen business in many parts of the country had nowhere to go despite it being a Sunday

The four day weekend of the film is closing around 260 crore nett in Hindi and even South saw a good jump on Sunday thiugh overall perfarmance there in original language Telugu and others is nothing like Hindi. The film going to capacity at many places ensures a huge Monday and no doubt it will be record for a non holiday Monday.

The core Hindi speaking mass circuits generally saw records come on day one and on Sunday they have gone to another level. There were three circuits which did not see records and those were Delhi / UP, East Punjab and Assam but no doubt on Sunday they  have also seen the highest single day collections. The biggest circuit is on fire like never before as both Maharashtra and Gujarat seen insane collections and the circuit total could end up above 25 crore nett.

The mass appreciation across all circuits means this film is going to continue to set new records at the box office for some time and this 260 crore nett extended four day weekend is just a start.
