The two main releases of the week saw dull collections which again is on the expected lines as they did not have much going for them. Crazxy is a film from the makers of Tumbadd which saw a successful re release last year. The films seems some sort of thriller but again like many other films its for a very niche audience.
The film has collected in the 75-85 lakh nett zone which is actually not that bad considering no face value but the genre is such that it needs a better opening to really stand a chance at the box office. The film has beaten the competition of Superboys of Malegaon but that hardly means much for the film.
The other release Superboys Of Malegaon collected 40-45 lakhs nett on its first day but again nothing much is expected as a film like this would hardly have an audience. The trailer itself is hardly watchable so not much can be expected in the theatres. The business is here is mainly limited to the bigger multiplexes so it may have chances of higher growth than Crazxy but how there is no much of an audience out there for this film.
The holdover Mere Husband Ki Biwi collected around 25 lakhs nett on its eight day which is a very low collection but considering the new release collections on day one it does not look too bad. The film will not be going anywhere and will wrap up at around 8 crore nett.
