Pushpa 2 created an insane record in Mumbai circuit but now after five weeks Chhaava is within touching distance which is unthinkable. Pushpa finished with a total of 267 crore nett and Chhaava stands at 260 crore nett after five weeks. Before these two no other films had even done 200 crore nett.

Stree 2 was the only original film to cross the 150 crore nett while Bahubali 2 managed to cross 180 crore nett. The difference in Maharashtra side is huge as Puhspa 2 did around 100 crore nett in Gujarat and Chhaava will hardly do 40 crore nett. Considering all the other major original Hindi grossers stand at around 130-160 crore nett in Mumbai this sort of number that Chhaava is getting in the circuit looked like a dream.

But Chhaava will be one off as its unlikely this can repeated unless its another film which has it roots heavily in Maharashtra and then public really take to it in a big way. The target still remains 200 crore nett for the biggest Hindi films to come in the circuit. The lopsided business of Chhaava can be seen as Delhi / UP will be less than 70 crore nett and East Punjab will be only 25 crore nett which is the level of a Kabir Singh or Good Newwz.
