Sikandar sold 20k tickets on the second day of its advance at the national multiplex chains adding to the 26k on the first day which takes the total to 46k for two days. The non nationals and singles were around 55k for a total of 1 lakh and in terms of collections the advance was around 2.50 crore nett over the first two days.

The film continues without good trending with that 2.50 lakh finish at the national chains looking on. You would expect at least 1 lakh tickets to go on the final day as the momentum picks up before release. The overall advance for day one is probably targetting 15 crore nett depending on movement from here which is 50% of a film like Pushpa 2 but the units of Sikandar have worked nothing like a Pushpa 2 so that sort of advance was never on the cards.

The advance is easily good enough for the film to score if it has merits and it has the market totally to itself with holdovers going out and nothing new there. There is Malayalam film Empuraan running riot in advances in Kerala and good in other South circuits but Kerala does not matter to Hindi films and in the main South circuits for Hindi films of Nizam / Andhra and Mysore the Malayalam film is not so huge that Sikandar cant get its share of collections. Empuraan is also a Hindi dubbed release but Hindi markets are different from South and here its much tougher to make in roads into Hindi speaking circuits so it wont be on the radar of Sikandar unless word of mouth is outstanding.
