Housefull 5 collected 37 crore nett in it second week showing a 67% drop week on week. The film showed a good jump on Tuesday due to the discounted rates but collections were quick to go down the next day as the film faced a huge drop. This led the buy one get one free scheme to be activated the next day and these sort of things pretty much show the film is not doing well.

The collections of the film stand at 150 crore nett in two weeks and the film still has some work to do to hit the average mark. If collections were to capitulate with the release of Sitaare Zaameen then this would not even be hitting the AVERAGE mark. There is some sort of perception play in todays digital world of a blockbuster hit but that hardly matters as the public has seen the film so knows its worth and the facts are not hidden from industry and its only these two that really matter. 

If the film gets to the average mark it can thank that Eid period From Sat - Mon where the film managed to get good collections in the Eid areas otherwise it could have 5-10% lower. The film has faced the same fate in Overseas as there it was a very good weekend due to the Eid factor in Gulf but collections came down fast post the weekend.
