Jailer 2 is is having a phenomenal run as it heads towards becoming the highest grossing Tamil film of all time. The film got huge benefit of the Dussehra period and stands at 268 crore nett plus after six days which is what 2.0 did in seven days. There will be a big drop in business today but its still likely to come out with a good lead over 2.0 over the first seven days.

The performance of the film is less in Tamil Nadu as its done around 100 crore nett so far and here it may not become the highest grossing film though a lot depends on the second week. Going by the numbers in other southern circuits this film should be aiming to become the first 200 crore film in Tamil Nadu but that looks tough.

Jailer (2003) grossed around 150 crore nett plus in Tamil Nadu and that should be easy enough for Jailer 2 but the top films like Leo and Ponniyin Selvan 1 maybe tougher to reach. Leo did 131 crore nett in the first week and Jailer 2 will be less than that. Below are the collections of Jailer 2 till date.
