Bajirao Mastani has done excellent business in.Maharashtra in the first week. Despite all India finishing 11 crore nett lower than Dilwale in week on, Mumbai circuit is 7 crore nett ahead and its this much much ahead with Gujarat not really giving big numbers. The film is a Maharashtra Blockbuster.

The other circuits barring East India are not great but have still done well. Normally Sanjay Leela Bhansali films hardly perform outside Mumbai and South but here the numbers are better than normal for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film in North and Central India.

Still the film will be driven by the Maharashtra belt and it will be no surprise if its puts up 65 crore nett in Mumbai circuit. This total would have been unthinkable before release as around 100 crore nett plus is available in the circuit and you would give Bajirao Mastani half of it on a best case scenario but its has taken a 65% plus share in the circuit as Dilwale has not performed how it should have.
