Gold dropped in week two as it grossed 12.75 crore nett which takes the two week total of the film to 101 crore nett. The film saw a drop across the board in all circuits. It has maanged to sqeeze past the 100 crore nett mark but that is pretty much irrelevant as this meant something five years ago but not today. The real test is 1 crore footfalls and Gold will fall short leaving Sanju, Padmaavat, Baaghi 2, Race 3 and Raazi the only films to hit this mark in 2018. The film has a decent result commercially speaking thanks to the holidays in the first week.
The business of Gold till date is as follows.
Week One - 88,10,00,000 apprx (9 Days)
Second Week - 12,75,00,000
TOTAL - 1,00,85,00,000 apprx

Satyameva Jayate also showed a big drop in the second week as it grossed 10 crore nett and took its total to 76 crore nett. Despite the drop in business the film has done very well due to the big first week total. it should close near the 80 crore nett mark and be in the top ten grossers of 2018. The film is going to finish around 25 crore nett less than Gold though in terms of footfalls the difference will be just 5-7 lakhs as a higher ratio of business for Satyameva Jayate has come from lower collecting screens.
The business of Satyameva Jayate til date is as follows.
Week One - 65,85,00,000 apprx
Week Two - 10,00,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 75,85,00,000 apprx
