Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi (Hindi) has done well in its first weekend with collections around the 40 crore nett mark but despite getting the weekend collections that appreciation is not there in some parts like Maharashtra, Gujarat and Nizam while the weekdays will tell about the other places.

The collections are no doubt good for a film which has Kangana Ranuat as the only face who is not a huge star but the question for such a film is always appreciation and going on after the weeeknd. But looking at the weekend trend that is surely missing in some areas and there is a question in other places which will be answered over the next few days..

Tanu Weds Manu Returns had grossed 37.50 crore nett over its first weekend which were the highest first weekend collections for a female driven film and now Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi has eclipsed them. The film was laso released in Tamil and Telugu but that like the case with most Hindi films barring a couple hardly returned any numbers. The collections of Manikarnika - The Queen Of Jhansi (Hindi)  are as follows.

Friday - 7,75,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 17,75,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 14,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 40,25,00,000 apprx

The Monday business is crucial for the film and it cannot afford to have that normal 50% drop from day one and the hope will be that places like Delhi / UP, East Punjab, Rajasthan, CP Berar and CI hold up strongly on Monday and have a steady run for a couple of weeks.

The other places like Mumbai and Nizam / Andhra could be steady on low collections but it will be a struggle to holding in the longer run in these circuits.
