Godzilla 2 opened on Thursday and had a low first day of around 2.25-2.50 crore nett. The release was practically a full out release and not just previews. It was a Thursday release and it was not a holiday so it makes it difficult for the film. It remains to be seen what happens today and over the weekend, does it get a bigger audience or is this 2 crore nett plus level the actual level of the film. The last Godzilla film had opened to around 4 crore nett.

Aladdin is doing well as its collections on day seven were similar to the first day collections of Godzilla 2. More important than that the hold was strong with the release of Godzilla 2 dropping just 15%. There could be another drop on Friday but it should do well on Saturday and Sunday and is on target for a 40 crore nett plus total.
