There were a few no hope releases like Nakkash and Naughty Gang and they as expected there was no audience as expected. Godzilla 2 is the main release of the week but the collections are pretty mediocre. It should do well enough to be the top collector this weekend though Aladdin could do better on Saturday as the families and kids come.

A dull weekend should have helped Indias Most Wanted and PM Narendra Modi but these films dont have the content to make the best of an open weekend. It will be De De Pyaar De dominating the Hindi scene as it holds on to 1 screen at most major multiplexes in the metros.

The wait is for Bharat to get the box office going on Wednesday which is the big Eid holiday. It coincides with the first world cup match for India and that could hit collections of the film. The limited action in trailers could also keep the film away from records despite a holiday release. But it does look better product than the last two Salman Khan Eid releases Tubelight and Race 3 so long term that should show up in the collections.

The advance of the film opened today (Friday) for a Wednesday release whereas Thugs Of Hindostan opened advance on Saturday for a Thursday release. That film sold a little under 2 lakh tickets on the first day of advance. That film was seen as more of action film so the advance may not be as strong as that when counters opened  but over the next few days it has to get close to the Thugs Of Hindostan advance or even more as the Thugs Of Hindostan advance was very lopsided for day one and Bharat may not be as good for the first day but should be better for the next four days as its a longer holiday period.
