Bharat has taken a bumper opening of 60-65% and the biggest for a Hindi film since Thugs of Hindostan last Diwali. The initial is a little less than Thugs Of Hindostan as far as the morning shows are concerned and with the big India world cup match to come the record opening day may be a step too far. If the match was not there then on these morning collections you would say it has a shot at the NETT collections record. It was a foregone conclusion that the film would take the biggest opening of the year for Hindi films. The opening is not as strong as Avengers - Endgame but its unlikely that many Hindi films can take an opening like that. If Bharat can come out with Avengers - Endgame numbers for day one in Mumbai and Delhi / UP it would be huge but its a tough ask.

The initial is a credit to the stardom of Salman Khan as the film is not in the zone of the Tiger films which are readymade for the huge initials as they are out an out action films while here action is there but seems to be in a more limited scope. The way collections are going at the moment it has chances to be the highest opening day Salman Khan though it is hard to say how the match will slow the collections down or even if it will slow the the collections.

The initial of the film is a huge boost to the Hindi film industry which has been struggling with the bigger films and also the recent Khan films not performing as they should. There industry has given HITS recently but eventually its the biggest film industry in the country and it should be giving big grossers. Big grossers are a sign of a big audience and a healthy industry while films can become HITS and SUPERHITS when not even watched by most of the country.

Bharat has the extended long weekend to benefit from with 100 crore nett plus in the first three days being a must. It should really do more than that as many 4-5 films have gone above that but that is the minimum it has to put up on the board before the weekend starts.

The opening is strong across the board and all circuits will record strong collections and hopefully a record or two.
