Mission Mangal recorded the fifth highest Monday of the year after Kabir Singh, Uri - The Surgical Strike, Total Dhamaal and Bharat. The first three managed to hit double digits on Monday with Kabir Singh way out ahead with a 17 crore nett plus Monday.

Mission Mangal beat the numbers of the other Akhsay Kumar starrer Kesari this year by around 8%. that film had collected a little under 8 crore nett. Kesari was also a Thursday release and Mission Mangal is over 20 crore nett ahead of that film in the first five days. Kesari had grossed 83.50 crore nett in its first five days. Kesari collected 103 crore nett in 8 days while this film stands at 105 crore nett in five days.

The drop for Kesari was around 61% from its Friday number which had a little Holi leftover while its 52% for Mission Mangal from a regular Friday. The top Monday figures of 2019 are as follows.
