Sikandar will get some growth on the second day but it will be minimal in the range of 5-10% with collections probably being in the 26-27 crore nett range. This will take the film to around 51-52 crore nett in two days which remains an average collection. The film should have done better on day two as its a holiday for Eid but the reports would have got in the way with the nuetral audience.
The major jump in collections is coming in UP where collections will double up from the previous day as Muslim centres do very well. There should also be a jump in Bihar and Nizam / Andhra but not to the level of UP. The rest of the country seems to be pretty much similar to the first day except Gujarat which is sure to see a drop in collecttions and its pretty noticeable as well to the tune of 25-30%.
The growth is mainly come due to the Eid pockets which is not a good sign for the long run as eventually its a national holiday but collections are flat or down where there is not a heavy contribution of the Eid audience. This Eid factor can keep the film on these average level collections but after that its going to be tough.
It will be lucky that it has this shortened week before the weekend arrives but after that its hard to see the film doing much. Its basically about notching up as much as possible till Sunday.
The film did well in Overseas grossing around $2.25 million on its first day thanks to good numbers in Gulf, US / Canada and United Kingdom. These three markets alone gave around $1.75 million. The worldwide number for the first day was 50 crore.
