Pati Patni Aur Woh has a good weekend with Sunday collections of 13.5-14 crore nett which gives the film a weekend of 33.5-34 crore nett. The growth on Sunday is around 20% which is par for the course. the film is not doing that great in mass circuits so its not huge Sunday growth
The near 34 crore nett number for the weekend is good and if the film can hold well on Monday it has chances to emerge a HIT. The weekend numbers of the film are better than Luka Chuppi but the collections for the film on Sunday are similar to Luka Chuppi as that film showed better growth in places like UP and Rajasthan on Sunday.
Panipat collected 7.5-8 crore nett in Sunday for a weekend of 17.5-18 crore nett. The film has not done well at all. the collections are better in Mumbai and Nizam / Andhra but these circuits still not even average. The film has managed to grow on Saturday and Sunday and on both days it is more than Pati Patni Aur Woh but that is probably because the opening day was so low.
The weekend numbers of the film are even less than Pagalpanti released a few weeks back and that pretty much tells about the box office fate of this film. The collections in North (Delhi / UP, East Punjab) are a total killer for the film.
The film will show growth of 40-45% which would have actually been good for a film of this genre if it had some sort of opening number. The film was hardly going to get appreciation in North and East India and that is what happened as that audience has rejected the film. Maharashtra and surrounding areas might have some takers but that also depends on what happens on Monday and Maharashtra will not be enough for the film to survive.
