Good Newwz has emerged a HIT film as it records a super strong collections on Monday which should come in the 13 crore nett range. The drop looks to be in the 25% range from Friday with a better hold in Delhi NCR. The four day collections of the will be 78 crore nett and it could do a first week of 115 crore nett as the film is unlikely to drop till Thursday.

The film is the fourth HIT of Akshay Kumar this year and the last time a major star gave four clean HITS in year it was also Akshay Kumar way back in 1994 though a couple of them like Yeh Dillagi and Elaan were HITS due to low costs with footfalls of under 1 crore. This year has seen four films which are HITS and also grossers.

Good Newwz may well emerge a SUPER HIT but that will depend on the fall after the holiday period and what happens in the second weekend. The film could have had a higher Monday if ticket rates were held at weekend rates but there was drop in rates though they are higher than normal weekday rates. The year has ended on a good note and its a repeat of last year when the Xmas release did not do well but the New Years release did well.
