Sooryavanshi will be ready to fly at the box office and give some good news to the belaugured film industry after eighteen long months. The issues between the makers and exhibitors were solved at the last minute and the deal was locked at around 10 pm just a few hours away from release.

The makers seem to have got what they wanted over the last two days which is 55% share in week one and 47,5% in week two and an 2.5% if it goes over the threshold though this is to be confirmed.

While these talks were going today the boxoffice was actually having its best day for a long time. The advance was going into overdrive at cinemas where it was open. This maybe because most of the audience was probably waiting for the national chains but with nothing there other cinemas started to sell tickets very fast today.

The advance will be around 4.50 crore nett but at most cinemas where the advance was open it is the best advance ever for an Akshay Kumar starrer. Infact cinemas in Delhi, UP and Gujarat where advance was open recorded the best advance since War beating all the other major releases than came after. In these three areas it is going to carnage tomorrow and all three are allowed to have 100% occupancy.

Looking at the momentum today the national chains will also be on fire in the morning as online platforms feel the heat of Sooryavanshi. There are certain pockets like the South where advance was low but you take that as not everything is going to fire straight away and hopefully these cities will gather momentum by Friday evening.

Another plus is that the makers kept the media away from the film with no previews as this fraternity is never keen on commercial HINDI cinema. The pandemic may have come but still it does not change the fact that the most important thing from the critics is not what comes out of their mouth but out of the pocket.

It is the audience that makes the industry tick as without it there is no Hindi film industry and after 18 long months it looks like the faithful audience is going to return. There maybe this weird picture created that the Hindi film industry is hated but that could not be further than the truth and even with so many bad films the audience can never get enough especially of the big films.
