Pushpa Records The First 100 Crore Weekend In India Post Pandemic

The Telugu film Pushpa scored a huge weekend of 107.50 crore nett which is the first 100 crore weeeknd post the pandemic in India.  The film scored big in Nizam / Andhra with a 69 crore nett weekend. The Hindi circuits added 14 crore nett while Karnataka was next best at 12 crore nett. Tamil Nadu was 8 crore nett while Kerala was 4.50 crore nett.

 

 

This was the thirteenth 100 crore nett weekend recorded in India and the fourth South Indian film to do so after Bahubali - The Conclusion, 2.0 and Saaho. The Hindi films (all languages) to achieve this feat are Dhoom 3, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan, Dangal, Tiger Zinda Hai, Race 3, Sanju and Thugs Of Hindostan. Then there is one Hollywood film with Avengers Endgame. The business of Pushpa could have been higher but the Andhra side of Nizam / Andhra circuit had issues with tricket prices which left a lot of areas with less business. The top five opening weekends post the pandemic are as follows.

 

 

1. Pushpa 107.50 crore apprx

 

 

2. Spiderman - No Way Home - 79 crore apprx

 

 

3. Sooryavanshi - 76,72 crore 

 

 

4. Master - 69.25 crore

 

 

5. Vakeel Saab - 67.50 crore
