The opening days of 2022 of original Hindi content (non dubbed) does not make good reading as films fail to open well. The only film to take what can be called a good opening is Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The story is basically about most films having a limited audience with no reach outside the big cities while the films with wider reach have not been good enough.

As mentioned before its going to be a tough ride this year as the Friday becomes much more important today than compared to 2019 when Saturday could easily recover from from a slow start. Most films coming out were due for release in 2020 so are still those films which are depedning on Saturday recovery rather than a good start.

The next two major releases Shamhera and Ek Villain 2 will both have that wider reach and hopefully will be among the top openers of the year with Shamshera being top of the pile and Ek Villain 2 also having a chance to be among the top films.
