Awaarapan will be looking at a good opening as it got a solid response as advances opened yesterday. The film had a good impact with its teaser and music which has good recall value. This set up the film well though the trailer could have been better but the first impression is so important and it was a positive with this film. 

The potential was of a double digit start and with these advances there is a chance but there is some time left and it has to maintain the momentum and more than advances its about what happens on the day. The film caters to that youth of places like Jaipur, Indore and Lucknow with its content although the love story could have defined better in the trailer which looked like action set pieces. 

This audiences in these sort of cities mentioned above is the key to the box office as far as initial box office goes and with that on side Awaarapan is sitting on a good wicket at present.

The other release Batwara did not get much of a response in advances but the film does not offer much for the youth so it was expected and as its an emotional family drama it will depend on word of mouth. The film does not have any music and its not the type of action film for the Sunny Deol audience in the Hindi belts. The film is not a patriotic film but will hope to get a boost with Independence Day and over the weekend with the family audiences. Its another big holiday when there is no big film but two middle range type of films though with Independence Day falling on Saturday it takes the juice out of the holiday.
