Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway has done decent business in its first weekend of 6.50 crore nett apprx. The weekend collections are better than films like An Action Hero, Hit Anek etc which all had far wider releases. The film has a solid trend trend and even managed some decent growth on Sunday. 

The film will hold on Monday but that hold really needs to be close to the Friday number or even higher because if a film in this zone is not going to rack up numbers after the weekend then it wont be going anywhere. The film has also scored good numbers overseas with collections around $600k and record numbers in Norway. Again these overseas numbers are better than many bigger films. Films like Uunchai and Jersey were less while the likes of Jayeshbhai Jordaar and Raksha Bandhan were not much better. The first weekend numbers of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway are as follows.

Friday - 1,25,00,000 apprx

Saturday - 2,25,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 2,75,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 6,25,00,000

The other Hindi release Zwigato fared poorly grossing around a little under 1 crore nett at around 90-95 lakhs nett. The dubbed Hindi film Kabzaa was also poor at around 2.25-2.50 crore nett, this film had a huge release in terms of cinemas as it released in more cinemas than the likes of Bhediya and Selfiee but the returns were very low. The film also did not fare too well in its home state of Karnataka.
