John Wick 4 is doing very well as it picks up around 9 crore on day one plus paid previews. This is the first time the franchise has been dubbed as the earlier releases saw releases only in English. The combined lifetime total of all the John Wick films is around 14-15 crore nett and this is looking to cover that in two days only.

The opening of the film is pretty similar to the opening of The Batman released around one year back and that film is a far bigger franchise in India. It was a Wednesday release for Batman but still to be in the same range as that film is excellent for a film like John Wick 4. The collections of John Wick 4 till date are as follows.

Thursday - 2,50,00,000 apoprx

Friday - 6,50,00,000 apprx

TOTAL - 9,00,00,000 apprx

The Hindi release Bheed was horrible as it collected the 40-45 lakhs. The film is a Black & White film released in 2023 and that says it all. Bheed belongs to a side of the industry which believes they are making classics and good cinema and push this perception despite the audiences making sure there is a zero bheed for the films. For this masterpiece they can claim that it is the biggest opening ever for a black and white film. 

The holdovers Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway and Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar continue to do far better than the new release Bheed but for these films its about how close they can get to their respective Thursday numbers. The collections of Mrs Chatterjee look more than double of Bheed despite being on day eight and both targeting the bigger multiplexes.
