Bholaa took a low opening though some parts of the country like UP, Rajasthan and MP were better probaably due to it being a holiday for Ram Navami and the mass action factor in the film. Despite these places taking a better opening the collections should have been better still.
The advances of the film were pretty mediocre with little momentum even on the final day but that was alwasy likely as the theatres which get advances are not really the target audience for such an action film which is on the heavy side and devoid of other commercial elements especially music.
Its so weird that there is less audience today than before the pandemic but advances are opening earlier when it should be the opposite outside a few of the big event films. When the public have not really bought many tickets with advance counters open for 5-6 days it gives a film a sort of rejected feel to it which is best to avoid.
The film should have opened to double digit numbers and it is not totally out of the question yet despite the slow start as the holiday areas will show even better collections post the afternoon and generally being mass film it should get a better current audience compared to advances. The opening in Maharashtra is on the weaker side and Gujarat also but this can really motor post 4pm. The film is depending on the mass Hindi circuits and most of these have a holiday on day one.
