The advance of Jawan is off to an extraordinary response as within two hours this morning the national chains had already sold over 30k within 2 hours of advance opening this morning. Pvr Inox crossed 25k while Cinepolis crossed the 5k mark. It may well be 1 lk in a DAY for JAWAN at the national chains which will be a first. The response is simply unprecedented and basically the film is already set for the biggest advance ever seen for a Hindi film.

This was expected as the film has a fantastic teaser and although the music was not really as good as it should be the teaser had done the job with the action and scale. The highest advance for a Hindi film till date is Pathaan and the sort of start that Jawan has taken its not really about beating Pathaan but by how much it can do it. 

Pathaan is the only film to have a 50 crore nett plus advance in history and Jawan will beat that easily if this pace continues. The target for the film actually looks to be the 6.5 lakh tickets sold at national chains for Bahubali - The Conclusion at a time when the nationals had lesser properties and the rates were much lower as well. If this target is reached at the pricing today it may well be an advance which can challenge the 75 crore nett mark. This is total advance before release for the four day weekend.

The Shahrukh Khan strongholds in South and West Bengal are likely to lead like it was the case the Pathaan but there is huge potential to go higher in teh mass Hindi circuits where it could challenge and beat the likes of KGF 2 and Gadar 2.
