Jawan has taken a bumper opening which cannot be described with words. Pathan was a bumper opening and simply put this is one level above and that is only way to describe it. It is always difficult to compare films but the biggest initials in the career of Shahrukh Khan would be Karan Arjun, Koyla, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Pathaan and Jawan and not it can be said that Jawan probably stands ahead of all. The advances suggested a bumper opening but there is always that single screen side and the first day noon show and that has seen full houses or near full houses.

There is the Janmashtami factor in play also as there will be a bigger gap between the numbers of Pathaan and Jawan in areas where Janmashtami is a major factor. The all India opening day record will fall as 60 crore nett is assured on day one already and its about whether the film can get over the 65 crore nett and also set the record for the highest day in history. Pathaan had collected 65 crore nett apprx on day two which was Republic Day and the highest day ever for a Hindi film.

The records are going to fall all over the place and it will probably be easier which circuit has not set a new records as there will not be many. The opening is a miracle in the East and South and also Delhi / UP. Elsewhere its pretty much outstanding while the weaker spots are East Punjab and Gujarat and this is speaking relatively as both these are huge also. Janmashtami is huge in Gujarat so current should push this market to near record levels also. There will also be the bonus of good numbers in Tamil and Telugu which have never been seen before for a Hindi film.

All in all another great day for the film industry as business jumps again in leaps and bounds and this has come with music that has not worked but the huge scale of the film and Shahrukh Khan coming off Pathan with another huge ACTION film was always opening huge and its was just about whether it tops Pathaan opening. The action factor is highlighted in capitals as its of utmost importance as a lot of Hindi films in the last twenty years had gone towards thriller zone and only Salman Khan was doing actions films. Even Shahrukh Khan so called actions films like Don franchise were more towards thriller. Pathan, Gadar 2 and now Jawan are outright action films and opening results are all there for to see.
