Jawan recorded the seventh highest first Tuesday ever and it comfortably beat the numbers of Pathaan and KGF 2 for the first Tuesday. Gadar 2 is a different case as that had Independence Day fall on the Tuesday so it collected a mammoth 55 crore nett and if it was solo release it would have gone much higher.
Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues goes very well with independence Day due to the patriotic theme but if we take out this film and then look at the numbers on the first Tuesday then Jawan is actually the second best ever without a holiday. Only Bahubali - The Collections has had better collections when the first Tuesday has fallen on a non holiday.
Jawan has beaten Dangal, Sanju, Tiger Zinda Hai and Pathaan on the first Tuesday. It is an extraordinary Tuesday as this has come after putting up phenomenal numbers for the first five days. The film is trending 14 % above Pathaan on the Tuesday though for Pathaan it was day seven and here for Jawan it is day six. The top first Tuesday collections of all time are below
