Fighter held up well on Tuesday but this hold was likely as it was not just Fighter that took a hit on Monday but generally the box office had fallen heavily post the holiday weekend and when this happens there is a chance the drop next day will not be much. Basically there is a bit of a recovery the next day.
The film collected 6.50 crore nett on Tuesday and the drops were around 10% across the board with the mass pockets doing a little better as they are at lower levels. This takes the film to 128 crore nett and the business remains at low levels despite the fair hold on Tuesday as that Monday drop was heavy.
.
After a drop like Monday its difficult to recover but the idea is not to totally fizzle out totally like many films do when they drop heavy on Monday. If the film can continue this trend for the next few days it can set itself up for some fair second weekend collections. A better way to put it is far better collections than most would have expected after that big Monday fall.
The film again has illustrated the problem films have with mass centre penetration and this has been there for many years even before the pandemic but earlier the bigger centres covered the cracks which is not happening anymore be it a Dunki and now Fighter. The box office collections of Fighter till date are as follows.
Thursday - 23,00,00,000 apprx
Friday - 38,50,00,000 apprx
Saturday - 26,00,00,000 apprx
Sunday - 27,00,00,000 apprx
Monday - 7,25,00,000 apprx
Tuesday 6,50,00,000 apprx
TOTAL - 1,28,25,00,000 apprx
