The Punjabi film Jatt and Juliet 3 scored a superb extended weekend as it collected 16.50 crore nett which is the second biggest opening ever in Punjabi cinema behind Carry On Jatta 3. That film also had a four day weekend and managed to pick up 18.75 crore nett.

There is a difference here as Jatt And Juliet had Kalki 2898 AD as competition which itself has done around 9 crore nett in East Punjab while Carry On Jatta 3 released with Satyaprem Ki Katha which did not do much in East Punjab. The showcasing for Kalki 2898 AD was far stronger than Satyaprem Ki Katha which meant less shows for Jatt And Juliet 3.

Having said that the trend is probably not as strong as Carry On Jatta 3 as that film really made inroads on Saturday despite coming off a holiday on day one so Carry On Jatta 3 is likely to remain the top film in India. Oversaes is slightly different as there Jatt And Juliet 3 holds a comfortable lead and in terms of Worldwide numbers it may just edge past Carry On Jatta 3.

So despite the lesser number in India the business in overseas can make it compete worldwide with Carry On Jatta 2 which did 100 crore apprx if the overseas numbers hold well over the next few weeks.. The collections of Jatt and Juliet 2 are as follows.
