Stree 2 advances opened to a huge response on Saturday and there has been no let up in the momentum as the film heads for an advance which is among the top ten of all time if we go advances for the first day. It is likely that the film will have around 20 crore nett up on the board in terms of advance for the first day..

This basically means it can chase a 40 crore nett opening on the first day which is similar to what Gadar 2 did last year on day one but that was a non holiday. The momentum is building for the film and the national chains will finish over 3.5 lakh tickets and maybe even get near 4 lakhs and this barrier has only been crossed by Bahubali - The Conclusion, Pathaan, Jawan, KGF 2, Animal and War 2 as far as films in Hindi go.

Obviously Stree 2 is not as big as the above films but the holiday factor is taking it among these huge films. Bahubali - The Conclusion, Pathaan and Animal released on a non holiday. The advance of the film is also beating a biggie like Tiger 3 but that film had its day one fall on the day before Diwali which is not the best for business.

Even if it is the holiday factor taking Stree 2 into the bracket of these huge films it is still an insane result as eventually it does not compare in scale with some of them or in terms of cast with them. Here there is Shraddha Kapoor who is one of the top female stars but there is little face value in terms of a male lead yet the Hindi belts of CPCI, Gujarat etc are looking a very strong opening. Stree (2018) was a huge HIT in the cinemas but it worked big on satellite post release and that is where it extended its reach and now is getting the benefits. The film will open on Wed night post 9pm and will put a huge total for paid previews as well because of the craze and a lot of shows between 9pm and midnight.

Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa will be left trailing by margins and with an audience out there which is less in terms of numbers compared to five years back a clash is always a risk even on a holiday as the biggest competition to any film is another film.
