Kesari 2 has shown an excellent jump on the second day as it looks to collect around 9.50 crore nett and could even go to 10 crore nett. The growth may look good only but its far better as Friday was a holiday for Good Friday and 30% growth coming here means that actual growth can be anywhere between 80-100% which is excellent.

It is rare for a film to show this sort of growth post a holiday and this puts the film in a much better position than where it was on the first day. The two day collections of the film will be 17 crore nett which is reasonable but it has good chances to build from here though there is still a long way to go as only 17 crore nett is up on the board.

The momentum that the film picked up over the first day has continued into the second day and it must continue into Sunday. The growth is more or less across the board but its Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Bangalore leading in collections and with the latter its showing up in the circuit figures as Mysore is by far the best circuit.

The name change of the film to Kesari Chapter 2 making it a sequel seemed a bit gimmicky but it has to be said that it has done the trick for the film as without the name its very unlikely this sort of initial would have come. Obviously the initial was not much but it was enough where the growth could take the film to film decent / good collections over the weekend. A 20-30% lower opening and the growth would not have mattered much as collections would just not been high enough.

It remains to be seen where the Hindi speaking circuits can go on Sunday as that will be the best day for them but overall if the metros can sustain well it should do finish up with a decent number especially comapring with other recent Akshay Kumar starrers.
