The collections of the holdover releases Border 2 and Mardaani 3 came down on Friday due to a heavy reductions of screens and competition from the new releases. Border 2 collected around 80 lakhs nett and Mardaani 3 was around 65 lakhs nett which is considerably lower than the previous day but both should make big gains today.

Despite the drop it does not alter the situation much for either film as Border is a SUPER HIT standing at around 307.50 crore nett and should get two good days in with Saturday and Sunday. The film has been aided with a Republic Day release as collections in and around that period were extraordinary which has pushed the film to a 300 crore nett plus number.

Mardaani 3 remains an AVERAGE fare with collections now standing at around 40.50 crore nett. The drop maybe makes it tougher to reach the collections of the last Mardaani film which was 46 crore nett plus though with the lack of releases over the next month or so it should eventually do more than 46 crore nett.
