The Punjabi film Mar Gaye Oye Loko took a good start though it was not a huge start. Still the film was collecting almost three times the numbers of Stree in the cities of Punjab and Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se was far far behind.

The film has taken the eighth highest opening ever for a Punjabi and is the third best opening this year after Carry On Jatta 2 and Dakuaan Da Munda. The former had smashed all records for Punjabi film in as it became the first Punjabi film to cross 50 crore worldwide. Mar Gaye Oye Loko is a comedy for families on the lines of Carry On Jatta 2 but without the brand value so it should at least do well over the weekend
