Thugs Of Hindostan grossed 100 crore nett plus over its first weekend making it the seventh highest weekend of all time and the second highest for Aamir Khan after Dangal in 2016. If we look at the top fifteen weekends of all time then Salman khan has six of them and Aamir Khan has four of them. Between them they have 10 of the top fifteen with Shahrukh Khan having 2 and one each for Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor. Then there is the epic Bahubali - The Conclusion.
Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have dominated the initials over the last few years but neither of them have the top two and surprisingly both the top two (Bahubali - The Conclusion and Sanju) are non holiday releases. Thugs actually should have been at the top of the pile if not every close if the film had worked considering the opening day numbers.
In terms of GROSS figures the weekend of Thugs Of Hindostan is at the level of PK and Happy New Year. The top fifteen opening weekends of all time are as follows.
