The Punjabi film Chal Mera Putt 2 was hit hard by the Corona Virus pandemic as the film was looking a sure shot HIT but then the announcement came to shut theatres in Punjab on Sunday. So although the film continued in Chandigarh and Haryana the main market is Punjab so therefore most of the revenue was lost.
The film also did not release in Delhi city on Friday as multiplexes there were shut on Friday so even the first day figure was lower than it should have been. The trend in Punjab was strong on Saturday from a good start which mean the film had been accepted but if you are not in theatres then you cant do much. The collections of Chal Mera Putt 2 across India are as follows.
Friday - 1,24,00,000
Saturday - 1,52,00,000
Sunday - 16,00,000
TOTAL - 2,92,00,000
The collections of the film would have been as follows if Delhi city was released and Punjab did not shutdown on Sunday, Basically if it was normal then the numbers would be as follows and a solid 5 crore nett plus weekend.
Friday - 1,39,00,000
Saturday - 1,75,00,000
Sunday - 2,24,00,000
TOTAL - 5,38,00,000
The film will do well when cinemas reopen as it has been liked but the business is unlikely to take off from where it left off especially as the delay gets longer and longer.
