Stree 2 is looking to be that light in the tunnel after a very bad run at the box office for the last couple of months. The advance has taken of a big way as the multiplex chains sell around 20k tickets in a matter of hours.

The film is clashing with films like Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa but going by this advance its a going to be Stree way out in front which was expected but the interest looks huge and the gaps can be much more than anyone though. . It is difficult to tell where the advance will end as when a film starts with such momentum there will be slower days down the line.

There are five days more of advance remaining so you would assume that 2 lakh tickets at the national chains are pretty certain and it could even go higher. No doubt the film is going to have the highest advance of the year and the highest opening day as the holiday factor pushes the collections.  

This sort fo response was much needed for the industry as it ensures at least one of the films is going to to the business. This advance will also make screentime tougher for the other two releases.
