Stree 2 has continued its fantastic momentum since advance opened on Saturday and it could end up at around 3 lakh tickets before release which is theTiger 3 range and more than that no film has even crossed 2 lakh this year with the 1.44 lakh of Fighter being the best result of 2024.

A lot will depend on the momentum on the final day of advance. The film will have paid previews starting post 9Pm and they themselves will give an excellent number. The crucial point for Stree 2 is that the Hindi core of UP, Rajasthan, CPCI, Bihar and Gujarat is strong. After a long time a film will be doing very well in Gujarat, in fact no film has really done well here this year, Kalki 2898 AD can just about be called a HIT in the circuit but that is an underperformance as to what it has done in other sectors.

The opening day numbers should cross the 30 crore nett mark and its about whether they can go a little higher. The clash with two other films will hurt although a 30 crore nett plus number does not make it look that way but eventually it could have got higher numbers without this competition.

The fight is between Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa which have similar advances at present but the clash is going to hurt these films even more due to the huge interest to watch Stree. There are hardly any releases and then suddenly three come together just because of a holiday week. This is beneficial to no one and Khel Khel Mein actually has some green shoots in the NCR belt but you need a solo release if these green shoots are to develop into anything sustantial and not a clash with a juggernaut like Stree 2.

It is this NCR area which may just edge Khel Khel Mein past Vedaa but mainly it will reports on the day of the two films which will will tell their respective postions. At the end of dat the clash will be hurting all the films in some way and its crazy since there are so many open weeks gong forward. Due to these open weeks the importance of holidays becomes very less and there is no need for clashes.
